Borage Seed Oil is one of the expensive oils out there but has some remarkable essential fatty acids like omega-6 EFA gamma linolenic acid.

Borage seed oil is a rich source of saturated fats, oleic acid, erucic acid, eicosenoic acid, linoleic acid, gamma linolenic acid (or GLA) and alpha linolenic acid.

Since it comes with a bigger price tag, it is typically mixed in small quantity for dilution (often 10%) with a few other carrier oils. Due to its high proportion of fatty acids, it deteriorates rapidly, making it go rancid much faster than other oils.
